Every year, instead of having a prom, Chicago Hope students spend their spring break in Mexico and San Diego. This trip is generously funded by donation as well as Christmas tree sales that the senior students run as part of their business class. The vision of the trip is to leave Hope like Christ left this world, giving himself for the life of the world.
Greetings from Chicago Hope Football! Chicago Hope football strives to provide young men with an incredible life changing experience. One they will never forget. Throughout a young man’s time in our program, we will use the remarkable game of football as a vehicle to develop work ethic, discipline, perseverance, selflessness, and mental toughness. These characteristics, taught through Hope Academy football, will enable a young man to reach seemingly unattainable goals and equip him to live a life without regrets!
For all of the hoopla surrounding spoken word artist Jeff Bethke’s venture into the pandemonium that is Christian theology, it can be incredibly refreshing to find that his “keep it simple” theology is not merely nominal. For an entire afternoon in January Jeff Bethke spoke to the students of Chicago Hope Academy about life, purity, and faith. Without going into the heavy hermeneutics that often accompany his infamous “Jesus vs. Religion” argument, Mr. Bethke found a way to preach his message to young Chicago teens who do not always respond as favorably to speech as they do to action.
